T-16: Public transport card for children aged 4 to 16

The T-16 card is a travel pass that allows children aged 4 to 16 to travel free of charge within their zone of residence, provided it is part of the integrated fare system. The card is valid until six months after the holder’s sixteenth birthday.
 

Requirements: 

Age: From 4 years of age until 6 months after the holder's sixteenth birthday.

Registration in the municipal register: Yes. In one of the 296 municipalities of the integrated fare system.  

Required documentation: DNI (Spanish national identity document), NIE (identity number for foreign nationals), passport or Family book (health card in the case of 
trans minors*).

Amount and frequency:

The T-16 costs €4.50. If the card is not lost and there are no issues, there will be a one-time payment of €4.50 for life.

The T-16 is equivalent to a 100% monthly discount on the value of the standard 1-zone ticket (€44).
