This benefit is aimed at individuals who lack the financial resources to cover basic needs related to essential expenses.
Applicants must not be entitled to any other financial benefit, nor receive any contributory or non-contributory benefit or pension under any of the schemes included in the Social Security System (except the compulsory old-age and disability insurance (SOVI)).

Age:

Over 65 years old.

Between 18 and 65 years old with a disability level equal to or greater than 65%.

Registration: Must be registered in any municipality in Catalonia for the 24 months prior to the application date.
- Legal residence: Must have legally resided in Spain for five years, of which the last two must be immediately prior to the application date.
- Required documentation: National ID (DNI), Foreigner Identity Card (TIE), EU citizen registration certificate, EU family member card, passport.
- Employment status: Applicants must not be engaged in any work activity to qualify for this benefit.
- Income: The benefit can only be received if the total income of all members of the household does not exceed the following limits:

The household unit includes the beneficiary, their spouse or partner, and relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity (parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren, siblings, parents-in-law, sons- or daughters-in-law, or siblings-in-law) living in the same residence.

Recognized disability: Household members (excluding the beneficiary) with a disability of 33% or higher are counted as two people in the calculation of family income, to facilitate access to the benefit for families with persons with disabilities.

Incompatibilities:
This benefit is incompatible with the following situations:
- Being a beneficiary of a public or private permanent residential or healthcare service.

Being in a correctional facility (prison).

Amount and frequency:
The maximum amount of the benefit is €801.85 per month, paid over 12 monthly payments per year.
This monthly amount is determined based on the Catalonia Sufficiency Income Indicator (IRSC) for the current year: 100% of the IRSC per household.
